Il corso di "Filologia semitica" si propone di insegnare a chi partecipa i principi generali delle lingue semitiche, esemplificati ogni anno su di una lingua diversa. Il corso dell'anno accademico 2018-2019 è dedicato all'aramaico "egiziano", ovvero ai tetsi (episotlari e narrativi) documentati da ritrovamenti in Egitto.
The course of “Semitic Philology” aims to provide students with the general principles of Semitic languages, by focusing on a different language every year. The 2018-2019 course is dedicated to "Egyptian" Aramaic, i.e. to the evidence (both epistolary and narrative) documented by findings in Egypt.

Leggere e tradurre testi aramaici letterari e di corrispondenza privata e spiegarli negli aspetti fonetici, grammaticali e sintattici in riferimento ai principi generali delle lingue semitiche.
The student will be able to read and translate literary and private correspondence in Aramaic and illustrate the phonetic, grammatical and syntactical aspects in reference to the general principles of the Semitic languages.

Aramaic grammar; syntax elements. Grammar reading and commentary of Aramaic texts documented in Egypt (contracts, letters and fragments of narrative works).

Il corso non è disponibile per non frequentanti se non in casi particolari (p. es. per studenti che abbiano una buona conoscenza di un’altra lingua semitica; studenti che abbiano una buona preparazione linguistica generale).
The course is not available for non-attending students except in special consideration cases (eg students who have a good knowledge of another Semitic language; students who have a good general linguistic preparation).
