The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of french literature story, from the seventeenth century to the nineteenth century. He or she will be able to read and explain a single trexte and set it in its historical and literary context.

Lo studente acquisirà un metodo per l'individuazione delle fonti bibliografiche primarie e secondarie e per l'analisi dei testi.
The student will acquire methods to indetify the rhetoric used in the primary source and to find textual references.
Durante le attività seminariali saranno richieste delle brevi relazioni sugli argomenti trattati.
During the seminar activities, short reports on the topics covered will be requested.
Lo studente deve avere una conoscenza di base della lingua francese
Level B1 in French is requered.
E' necessaria la frequenza dei corsi di Lingua francese e dei lettorati di Lingua francese.
Attendance at French language courses and "Lettorato" is recommended.

La Littérature et le Pouvoir. Traversée: Racine, Flaubert, Céline, Ionesco.
Une traversée dans l’histoire de la littérature française pour analyser au prisme d’une thémathique quatre auteurs qui ont marqué avec leur œuvre l’évolution des genres et des formes. Quatre textes fondamentaux seront analysés du point de vue stilystique et situés dans leur contexte historique pour illustrer la force de la littérature face au pouvoir.
A crossing in the history of French literature to analyze, through the topic Literature and Power, four authors who have marked the evolution of genres and forms. Four fundamental texts will be analyzed from the stilystic point of view and situated in their historical context to illustrate the power of literature.
