Modernità, globalizzazione e storia a partire dalla filosofia della storia di Hegel
Il corso affronterà la filosofia della storia hegeliana, facendone emergere da una parte il rapporto con alcuni momenti fondamentali della cultura tedesca tra ‘700 e ‘800, dall’altra il complessivo significato teorico in un mondo in via di globalizzazione. A tale scopo, nell’ambito di una esposizione generale delle Lezioni, saranno messi a fuoco soprattutto 1) il nesso tra la comprensione hegeliana della storia e le scienze biologiche coeve (Hegel e Goethe); 2) valenza, portata e implicazioni della trattazione della Grecia classica.

Recommended readings vary from year to year. Usually we concentrate on one or more classic figures of the history of philosophy or a specific topic of philosophical relevance. Let these two examples from recent years illustrate the respective styles: a course on Kant's Critique of pure Reason; a course on the notion of imagination. A bibliography will be handed out at the beginning of the course.
