Knowledge
The course has the main objective to introduce the students to financial management, dealing with the main topics of corporate finance; financial analysis, financial planning, capital budgeting, project analysis and evaluation, financing policy and capital structure choices, and portfolio investment strategies.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
To ascertain the knowledge, tests and simulations of the exam will be carried out. Different exercises will accompany the explanation of theoretical concepts.
Skills
At the end of the course:
- The students should interpret a financial statment from a risk analysis perspective
- The studies should be able to evaluate investments through the instruments of capital budgeting
- The students should be able to use the tools to analyse the effects of financing policies on the process of value creation

The students can acquire the knowledge and sensitivity to interpret the financial management issues of companies.

During self-assessment test the strategic implications of financial nature decisions will be analyzed

Some basic knowledge of accounting – how a financial statement is set up – is necessary
