Il corso prevede conoscenze teoriche delle strutture grammaticali e sintattiche del tedesco scritto in prospettiva contrastiva con l'italiano, utili a valutare il profilo di stile del T1 in ottica di confronto tra varie rese in traduzione di alcuni esempi di testi letterari.
Gli studenti del curriculum linguistico approfondiranno le conoscenze teoriche con un modulo dedicato.
Gli studenti del curriculum traduttivo approfondiranno conoscenze e competenze traduttive con la frequenza del laboratorio di traduzione della Dr. Anna Gerratana.
Le quattro competenze strumentali (comprensione e produzione scritta e orale) di livello B2+ del Quadro Comune Europeo di riferimento per le lingue straniere (= QCER) sono considerate prerequisito e/o obiettivo complementare del corso.
The course includes theoretical knowledge of syntax of written German in comparison, with a view to comparison with similar structures of Italian. The comparison allows to gain awareness of the different functioning of linguistic systems and subsystems, with possible application to translation practice.
Students of the linguistics curriculum will deepen their theoretical knowledge with a dedicated module.
Students of the translation curriculum will deepen their knowledge and translation skills by attending the translation laboratory of Dr. Anna Gerratana.
The four instrumental skills (written and oral comprehension and production) at level B2 + of the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages (= CEFR) are considered prerequisites and / or complementary objectives of the course.
Le conoscenze sono verificate nel corso del semestre durante l'attività seminariale e con prove in itinere (domande teoriche e analisi di testi).
Durante il semestre saranno proposte prove modulari scritte in itinere, sostitutive dell'esame finale.
The theoretical content of the course is tested during the semester during the seminar and with ongoing tests (theoretical questions and text analysis).
During the semester, modular written tests in itinere will be proposed, replacing the final exam.
La riflessione sulle strutture linguistiche e il loro funzionamento garantirà l'affinamento di competenze linguistiche, critiche ed ermeneutiche.
Reflection on linguistic structures and their functioning will guarantee the refinement of linguistic, critical and hermeneutic skills.
Le capacità saranno verificate mediante analisi di testi e discussione dei fenomeni rilevati.

La studentessa/lo studente sarà in grado di orientarsi nella lettura e interpretazione di testi e di fenomeni comunicativi del tedesco nei diversi stili sintattici.
students will be able to orient themselves in the reading and interpretation of German texts and communicative phenomena in the different syntactic styles.
I comportamenti saranno verificati mediante analisi di testi e discussione dei fenomeni rilevati.

L’accesso all’esame prevede - oltre al superamento delle prove in itinere del corso - attestato di partecipazione e superamento delle prove di lettorato di livello magistrale (C1/C1+) e, per gli studenti del curriculum traduttivo, della prova di traduzione.
E' consigliata la frequenza di entrambi i lettorati in entrambi gli anni di corso, per esercitare al meglio le quattro competenze. Obbligatorio, per l´accesso all´esame, almeno la frequenza del lettorato C1 al I anno e C1+ nel II anno.
Si consiglia la frequenza del laboratorio di traduzione per entrambi i semestri in entrambi gli anni di corso, per esercitare al meglio la pratica di traduzione.
Access to the exam requires a certificate of participation and passing of the related tests of at least one master's level lectorate and, for translation students, of the translation test.
Il corso trasmette nozioni di grammatica e sintassi in prospettiva plurilinguistica, mediante descrizione teorica dei fenomeni a confronto con l’italiano e, laddove utile, con l’inglese. Le nozioni teoriche sono sempre applicate all’analisi del testo scritto. Oggetto di analisi sono testi autentici di vario genere, con attenzione – laddove possibile – per i testi in programma nel corso di letteratura tedesca.

The course conveys notions of grammar and syntax in a plurilinguistic perspective by means of a description of structures of the German language system in comparison with the Italian and the English languages. The notions are always applied to the analysis of the written text. Subject of analysis are authentic texts of various kinds, with attention - where possible - for the texts scheduled in the German literature course.

Il corso è strutturato in tre moduli di 3 CFU ciascuno. I moduli 1-2 sono dedicati allo stile sintattico del tedesco scritto. Il modulo 3 affronterà alcuni approfondimenti in ottica pragmatica. Gli studenti del curriculum traduttivo sostituiscono il modulo 3 con la frequenza (e superamento delle prove relative) del laboratorio di traduzione.
The course is structured in three modules of 3 CFU each. Modules 1-2 are dedicated to the syntax of written and oral German (partly equivalent to structures of the modern English language) in comparison with Italian. Module 3 will explore some topics on the Grammis portal (students of the linguistic curriculum). Students of the translation curriculum replace module 3 with the attendance (and passing of the relative tests) in the translation laboratory.

I non frequentanti seguiranno la stessa modalità d'esame sopra descritta, sostenendo la prova di traduzione secondo il calendario proposto dalla titolare (Dr. Gerratana) e ottenendo dalle lettrici la certificazione di livello linguistico.
Per quanto concerne la valutazione del corso, dovranno produrre una relazione (circa 10-15 pagine) da concordare con la titolare del corso (Prof. Foschi) almeno due mesi prima dell'appello d'esame.
Non-attending students will follow the same procedure for the exam described above, by taking the translation test according to the time-table set by Dr. Gerratana. They shall also obtain the linguistic level certification from the lecturers.
For the evaluation of the course, they shall produce a paper (10-15 pages circa) on a topic to be agreed with the course coordinator (Prof. Foschi) at least two months before the exam session.
Per accedere all'appello d'esame è necessario aver ottenuto risultati positivi nelle seguenti sedi:
a) prove in itinere in presenza proposte durante i tre moduli del corso istituzionale (I semestre);
b) studenti del curriculum di traduzione: prova finale al termine del laboratorio di traduzione (I e II semestre);
c) lettorato dedicato (livello C1/C1+).
In sede di esame sarà calcolato il voto finale considerando la media ottenuta nelle prove in itinere e la valutazione della prova di traduzione con rapporto 2/3 = 1/3. Il risultato del lettorato può incidere sulla media finale ottenuta per +/- 10%.
Gli studenti che non hanno sostenuto o non hanno riportato esito positivo nelle prove in itinere (a) svolgeranno l'esame secondo le indicazioni per non-frequentanti.
L’iscrizione online all’esame è obbligatoria e vincolante per tutti.
In order to be admitted to the final exam students must provide proof of positive evaluation in the following parts:
a) on-going tests during the institutional course (first semester)
b) translation laboratory (first and second semester)
c) lectorate (level C1/C1+).
On the exam date, the final grade will be calculated considering the average obtained in the ongoing tests and the evaluation of the translation test with the ratio 2/3 = 1/3. The result of the reading can affect the final average obtained by +/- 10%.
Students who did not take the ongoing test (a) or can not report positive results in these tests will follows the indications for non-attending students.
Online registration for the exam is mandatory and binding for everyone.
