The course will provide the student with the tools to analyze and design circuits and systems,
both analog and digital, operating at high frequencies,
with low power consumption and high performance,
for wireless networking infrastructures and for the Internet of Things (IoT).
The course refers to applications such as wireless sensor networks, energy harvesting, even at RF, BLE, Zigbee, Wi-Fi. The student will face, with CAD and IoT prototyping boards,
the project starting from the high-level modeling of the complete system,
to the optimization and co-design of the HW / SW platform,
up to the choice and design of high performance integrated circuits and systems
in advanced technologies
In the oral exam the student's ability to explain correctly the main topics presented during the course at the board will be assessed. In the laboratory report the student must demonstrate the ability to utilize a specific CAD tool for I0T design and simulation.
Methods:
Further information:
33% Laboratory Report (CAD design and simulation + report); 67% Oral exam
