Il corso ha la finalità di introdurre gli studenti alle problematiche di valutazione dell’impatto che un qualsiasi piano o progetto antropico ha o potrebbe avere sull’ambiente in cui esso è eseguito, specialmente per quanto riguarda le componenti biologiche e di funzionamento. In questo contesto, vengono presi in considerazione i principali aspetti legislativi nazionali e europei, le modalità di valutazione di impatto previste dalle normative vigenti per varie tipologie di opere rilevanti e i principi fondamentali per la valutazione dell’impatto ecologico di attività umane secondo le buone pratiche della letteratura scientifica.
The course is aimed at introducing the students to the issues relating to the assessmnet of impacts associated with the realization of human projects, with special focus on biological and functioning components. In such a context, the course examines the most relevant national and european laws, the procedures for the assessment of impacts of a numebr of interventions as established by current laws, and the main principles for the evaluation of ecological impacts due to human activities as established by the scieitfic literature.

Lo studente acquisirà conoscenze utili allo svolgimento di procedure di impatto ambientale e di incidenza di opere in progetto secondo la normativa nazionale, nonché alla progettazione di ricerche finalizzate a valutare effetti di disturbi ambientali in modo non confuso, come da buone pratiche descritte nella letteratura scientifica internazionale.
The students will get knowledge on how to carry out the procedures established by national laws for the assessment of the environmental impact of planned human interventions, as well as on how to design samplings and experiments suited to assess the effects of environmental disturbances in an unconfounded way, according to the international scientific literature.
Le capacità acquisite saranno verificate nell'ambito della prova di esame finale.
The skills and knowledge acquired by the students will be evaluated during the final exam.

Lo studente è invitato a verificare l'esistenza di eventuali propedeuticità consultando il Regolamento del Corso di studi relativo al proprio anno di immatricolazione. Un esame sostenuto in violazione delle regole di propedeuticità è nullo (Regolamento didattico d’Ateneo, art. 24, comma 3).
No specific prerequisites needed, although previous knowledge of basic principles in ecology and experimental design would be advantageous.
The student is asked to check the possible existence of mandatory preparatory exames by reading the guidelines of their Degree course. Please notice that any violation of such guidelines would make an exam invalid (University Rules, Article 24, provision 3).

The course is based on infoprmation from different sources, impossible to be found in a single textbook.
