Knowledge
The student who successfully completes the course will have acquired basic knowledge in Geology and Stratigraphy. In addition, he/she will be able to macroscopically describe and classify the most common igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression.
The oral exam is preceded by a written report concerning the macroscopic description and classification of selected igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rock samples.
Methods:
- Final oral exam
- Final laboratory practical demonstration
- Written report
Teaching methods
Delivery: face to face
Learning activities:
- attending lectures
- individual study
- Laboratory work
