Hellenistic sculpture
This course explores the principal questions of the chronology, geography, and style of Greek sculpture during the Hellenistic period.
The primary goals of this course include a detailed knowledge of Greek sculpture from the late 4th to the 1st century BC, its development, and its main production centres. Participants will thus improve their skills in the analysis of artworks and critical reading of scientific literature.

In addition to the primary texts listed below, additional readings will be assigned for each discussion. Since the readings are in several languages, students are strongly encouraged to attend all classes
