Knowledge
The student will be able to apply thermodynamycs to chemical transformations.
He will know in detail the methods for the production, refining and storage of Fuel Cell grade Hydrogen (FCH).
He will be aware of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC)properties
He will be able to discuss the current chemical literature concerning coal gasification, steam and oxidative reforming of fossil carbon, Water Gas Shift Reaction, CO2 hydrogenation to formic acid and the recent developments in the syngas chemistry.
He will experience the preparation of gas-mixtures under pressure and the handling of high pressure reactors. He will be aware of the hazards associated with these practices.
