Al termine del corso lo studente avrà acquisito una solida conoscenza del sistema immunitario e dei meccanismi di base che regolano la risposta immune agli agenti patogeni; inoltre lo studente sarà in grado di comprendere la natura, lo scopo, le potenzialità delle principali tecniche immunologiche usate in ambido diagnostico e di ricerca.
The student who successfully completes the course will achieve a solid knowledge of the immunological system and of the fundamental mechanisms undelying the immunological reponse to pathogens; furthermore, the students will be able to understand the nature, aim, and potentials of the main immunological techniques used in the research and diagnostic laboratory.
La verifica delle conoscenze sarà oggetto del colloquio d'esame.
Academic progress will be verified during the exam session.
Lo studente sarà in grado di interpretare i fenomeni biologici connessi con le attività del sistema immunitario e di discutere l'appropriatezza della scelta dei diversi metodi immunologici nel laboratorio sperimentale e diagnostico.
The student will be able to understand the biological phenomena at the basis of the activities of the immune system, and will be able to discuss the appropriateness of the different immunological methods in the different aspects of the research and clinical laboratory.

Lo studente acquisirà la capacità di interpretare criticamente le informazioni scientifiche concernenti il sistema immunitario e di valutare in modo critico i risultati di laboratorio conseguiti con tecniche immunologiche
The student will acquire the ability to understand and critically evaluate scientific informatin concerning the immune system, and to critically consider the laboratory results obtained by immunological methods

La prova orale consiste in un colloquio tra il candidato e il docente, in presenza di almeno un collaboratore del docente.
Per superare la prova, oltre a rispondere correttamente, il candidato deve esprimersi in modo chiaro e di usare la terminologia corretta.
The oral test consists of an interview between the candidate and the lecturer, in the presence of at least one of the lecturer's assistants.
To pass the test, besides answering correctly to the questions, the candidate should express him/herself in a clear manner using the correct terminology.
