General notions on the nutritional requirements of horticultural, floricultural and ornamental species grown in open fields, greenhouses or nurseries will also be provided.

Non-attending students info

Slides and indications of articles and sites from where to download copies of articles and/or book chapters on a particular topic are generally uploaded online a few days before the lecture(s) on that topic. The material is available until the beginning of the following year's course.

Assessment methods

The examination for students who have attended the course consists of a written test on the course about halfway through the course (or possibly an exercise as a written test) and a final written test on the remaining part of the course (these arrangements are subject to change according to the possibility of being able to take the written tests on the course: alternatively, the final written test is transformed into an oral test at a distance.
For students who have not attended the course, the examination consists of a single written test (or oral test on the TEAMS platform).
The written examination consists of open-ended questions or calculation exercises relating to the topics covered by the lecturer. The in itinere test is valid for the entire academic year.
The oral examination, if any, also includes solving or setting out how to solve small calculations relating to the formulation of the nutrient solution.
The written/oral test is passed if a mark of at least 18/30 is obtained.
