Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student who completes the course successfully will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the main features of textual criticism. Moreover, he/She should be able to approach a real critical edition, producing at least few pages of it, formalizing it in the MauroTeX language. The student will be able to look critically at the current tools available in the field of Digital Humanities for the production of critical editions.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology.The student must demonstrate the ability to put into practice and to execute, with critical awareness, the activities illustrated or carried out under the guidance of the teacher during the course.

Further information:
During the course the student should work preparing his colaltion and his edition; his work will be discussed. The final evaluation will be on 1. the active participation during the lessons 2. the awareness of the principal phenomena that the critical editor has to face in preparing an edition.
