Learning outcomes
Knowledge

This course will present the positive and negative aspects involved in regional economic development, by focusing on a selection of topics, including: 1) industrial clusters and localised knowledge spillovers; 2) employee mobility and entrepreneurship; 3) regional industrial diversification, and 4) sustainability challenges and human rights.

Assessment criteria of knowledge

Written and oral presentations.

Skills

At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand the main drivers of regional development and to present their group work to other students.

At the end of the course the students will have the capacity to work in group.

Basic knowledge of microeconomics and management.
