Il corso si propone di fornire agli studenti una solida comprensione delle basi teoriche e delle tematiche attuali nell'economia dei trasporti. L'obiettivo principale è equipaggiare gli studenti con gli strumenti critici necessari per comprendere la complessa interazione tra il settore turistico e i trasporti.
The aim of this course is to teach students the theoretical foundations and the most current issues of the transport economy. The objective is to provide the critical elements for understanding the complex relationship between the tourism sector and transport.

To enhance skill development, a group project will be implemented, focusing on the in-depth exploration of the relationship between tourism and transportation in a real-world context.

Al termine del corso, grazie alla padronanza degli strumenti analitici acquisiti, gli studenti saranno in grado di analizzare il contesto e comprenderne la relazione tra trasporti e turismo, presentando in modo approfondito i risultati attraverso una relazione scritta.
Inoltre, gli studenti acquisiranno la capacità di esporre i risultati delle attività progettuali attraverso la redazione di una relazione scritta.
Upon completion of the course, with proficiency in acquired analytical tools, students will be able to analyze the context and comprehend the relationship between transportation and tourism, presenting their findings comprehensively through a written report.
By the end of the course, students will be able to present the outcomes of their design activities through the creation of a written report.
L'esame finale, concepito per valutare lo studio individuale e le competenze acquisite nel corso di "Economia dei Trasporti e della Mobilità nel Turismo", sarà svolto attraverso una prova scritta in presenza. L'obiettivo principale è testare la comprensione approfondita degli argomenti trattati e la capacità degli studenti di applicare le conoscenze acquisite.
The final exam, designed to assess individual study and acquired skills in the course "Economics of Transportation and Mobility in Tourism," will be conducted through an in-person written test. The primary objective is to test the in-depth understanding of the topics covered and students' ability to apply the acquired knowledge.

Durante il lavoro di gruppo, gli studenti acquisiranno competenze essenziali per analizzare in modo collaborativo l'integrazione tra trasporti e turismo. Attraverso discussioni approfondite e attività pratiche, saranno in grado di applicare strumenti analitici specifici per esaminare dati critici riguardanti i flussi di trasporto e la domanda turistica. Inoltre, svilupperanno la capacità di comprendere le reti di trasporto e collaboreranno alla definizione di scenari e soluzioni innovative.
During group work, students will acquire essential skills for collaboratively analyzing the integration between transportation and tourism. Through in-depth discussions and practical activities, they will be able to apply specific analytical tools to examine critical data related to transport flows and tourist demand. Furthermore, by collaborating on the definition of scenarios and innovative solutions, they will develop the ability to understand transportation networks.
Durante il corso, le lezioni tradizionali saranno arricchite settimanalmente da approfondimenti focalizzati su casi reali nel contesto dell'economia dei trasporti e della mobilità nel turismo. In queste sessioni, gli studenti parteciperanno attivamente, promuovendo un apprendimento coinvolgente e pratico. Saranno incoraggiati a collaborare nell'analisi dettagliata di scenari reali, applicando le competenze acquisite e contribuendo alla comprensione critica della complessa interazione tra settore turistico e trasporti.
Throughout the course, traditional lectures will be complemented weekly with in-depth explorations focused on real-world cases within the context of the Economics of Transportation and Mobility in Tourism. In these sessions, students will actively participate, fostering engaging and hands-on learning. They will be encouraged to collaborate in the detailed analysis of real scenarios, applying acquired skills, and contributing to a critically informed understanding of the intricate relationship between the tourism industry and transportation.
Durante il corso, si metterà in luce l'inquadramento generale del settore dei trasporti, esplorando la stretta relazione tra trasporti e turismo. Verranno affrontate tematiche come le reti e i flussi di trasporto, la domanda di trasporto e le tendenze attuali e future nei trasporti urbani, terrestri, aerei e marittimi. Particolare attenzione sarà dedicata alla mobilità sostenibile.
Throughout the course, the general framework of the transportation sector will be outlined, exploring the close relationship between transportation and tourism. Topics such as transportation networks and flows, transportation demand, and current and future trends in urban, land, air, and maritime transportation will be addressed. Special attention will be given to sustainable mobility.

Per coloro che supereranno il tetto massimo di assenze consentito la valutazione sarà basata esclusivamente sull’esame finale.
For those who exceed the maximum number of absences, the assessment will be based exclusively on the final exam.
La valutazione dello studente sarà effettuata sulla seguente base: 50% Lavoro di Gruppo; 50% Esame.
Struttura dell'Esame: La prova sarà strutturata con una combinazione di domande a risposta multipla (multiple choice) e due domande aperte. Le domande a risposta multipla saranno progettate per valutare la conoscenza di concetti chiave e la capacità di applicare teorie specifiche. Le due domande aperte consentiranno agli studenti di esporre in modo dettagliato la loro comprensione approfondita delle tematiche affrontate nel corso. Questa struttura mira a fornire una valutazione completa delle competenze degli studenti, valutando sia la padronanza dei concetti fondamentali che la loro capacità di analisi e sintesi.
The student's evaluation will be carried out on the following basis: 50% Group work; and 50% Exam.
Exam Structure: The exam will be structured with a combination of multiple-choice questions and two open-ended questions. Multiple-choice questions will be designed to assess knowledge of key concepts and the ability to apply specific theories. The two open-ended questions will allow students to elaborate in detail on their in-depth understanding of the topics covered in the course. This structure aims to provide a comprehensive assessment of student's skills, evaluating both mastery of fundamental concepts and their ability for analysis and synthesis.
