the course focuses on the historical phases of the development of martial arts in China and Japan where the practice of fighting was inseparable from cultural, medical and philosophical practice. It emphasizes the impact of the martial arts in Western culture by highlighting the differences between martial arts, combat sports and defense systems, and personal characteristics of the technical work of martial arts.
