The course aims to provide the theoretical and practical bases for the study of plant diversity, with particular reference to seed plants. The students will learn the basic concepts of systematics and taxonomy, including the main rules of botanical nomenclature. A special attention will be given to the applications for users of scientific names in contexts outside taxonomy.
