Learning outcomes

The course is aimed at providing students with notions relating to the main zoonoses sustained by bacterial agents, general notions of prevention and control of infectious diseases of farm animals with reference to prophylaxis measures aimed at promoting human health.
For each pathogen, the aspects relating to aetiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, disease in animals and humans, as well as those relating to the diagnostic methods for detecting the pathogens themselves in different types of samples will be investigated.
