Learning outcomes

The course of Ecotoxicology aims to train students for the study of environmental contamination, with regard to toxicological implications that chemicals may have on various components of the biota, particularly to the aquatic environment. The course will update students on the problems inherent in the criteria for biomonitoring, risk assessment and biomagnification of biological contaminants and the main topics of interest in the field of environmental toxicology. The course will enable students to learn some technical aspects related to the analysis of toxicological responses with particular regard to the development and application of new cellular and molecular methodologies.
