Learning outcomes

The course aims at developing advanced competences in the identification, classification, and understanding of images and monuments from the Greek and Roman tradition. The first part of the course provides a general introduction to the subject, its methods, fundamental literature and research tools. The second part of the course provides the chance to engage with individual case studies, which throw light on broader historical and cultural issues.
