Learning outcomes
Acquisition of the physical and technological principles behind scanning and transmission electron microscopy. Techniques of electron microscopy, diffraction and spectroscopy aimed at the investigation of crystalline materials, mainly inorganic and with specific emphasis on minerals and their derivatives. Acquisition of basic knowledge for operating a scanning or a transmission electron microscope. Preparation of samples for electron microscope investigation.
