The course intends to provide the student with an in-depth knowledge of the Vedic/Sanskrit language, thus completing the course begun with the Basic Sanskrit course and teaching how to handle the complex diachronic depth of this language. The course focuses in particular on Vedic Sanskrit and on the language of technical literature (grammar, phonetics, etymology), the main purpose of which is the exegesis of the Vedic texts themselves. The course also consists of a monographic part in which the focus is on the translation and analysis of a text.
