The course aims at introducing students to the cultural issues of the new literary civilisation of Late Antiquity (3rd-6th century AD), through a literary, philological and linguistic analysis of texts from the Greek and Latin tradition, pagan and Christian as well, in the context of their production and transmission and focusing on their social, cultural and religious impact.
