The course will cover the main themes of Medieval history, through an introduction to the principal historiographical debates and the reading of some sources. The student who succesfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of the main processes and events in European history from the transformation of the Roman world to the end of the 15th century; he/she will have the ability to contextualize a historical source; he/she will be aware of the processes through which historical knowledge is constructed.
