The course aims at providing the students with the base
knowledge of energy conversion systems and fluid machines. Starting from the basic concepts of thermo-fluid dynamics, the distinctive aspects and features of the most common energy conversion systems will be addressed. These will include thermal and renewableenergy-based power plants and related fluid machines. At the end of the course the students will be able to carry out a preliminary design and a performance estimation of the energy
systems and fluid machines discussed during the teaching.
