It is a two-week intesive course to be offered to foreign students, who will apply for the European certification EMSNE, from ENEN Membres or Institutions having a Memorandum of Understanding with Association, upon specific request.
The course is composed by three teaching units: Unit 1 - Plant Design Criteria (25 hours); Unit 2 - Soil Structure Interaction (5 hours ) e Unit 3 Safety design of NPP SSCs (30 hours).
Exercises and case studies are performed in the following subjects: Unit E1 - Basic exercise on structural mechanisc (beam and shell); Unit E2 - Examples of lumped mass approach (SDOF or MDOF); Unit E3 - Examples of (implicit and semi-implicit approach) fluid-structure and soil-structure interaction; Unit E4 - Basic balances in LWR undergoing external solicitation; Unit E5 - Basic application of FEM codes.
