Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the main and common characteristics and problems, at the application and safety level, of the nuclear plants and their most important components for safety during the operations of progressive or complete decommissioning
• Advanced knowledge of the reference standards and of the main national and international regulations concerning the design / dismantling and safety at work and workers and the management of radioactive waste.
• Analysis of the criteria and processes of decommissioning and dismantling, at the preliminary and execution level, in relation to the peculiarity of the main components / facilities structures, as well as to make the design choice of the most suitable dismantling of a safety point of view , release criteria and financial / management planning-use of resources
• Discussion on the possible processes of recycling and reuse of fuel and products, with special attention to the final disposal phases in the institutional period and in the long term.
