- To contribute to the formation of a plant and systems attitude by presenting and making aware the students on the main functional, structural and safety issues which are common and characterize the different types of industrial plants;
- Capacity to integrate the learned knowledge and to interact with specialists of different areas;
- Contribute to the understanding and application of design and construction techniques (including also the use of FEM and system codes generally utilized to support the plant design) and main regulations concerning the safety of plants and of some of their main components in the areas of interest.
