Educational Goals
The course provides an understanding of the major theories related to the advent of electronic image and digital media, with a focus on the innovation dimension and dialogue with the cinema and other arts. Students acquire a critical awareness of the various theories of the second half of the twentieth century and to date and learn to identify the inter-media and interdisciplinary linkages in the cultural landscape today.
