Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide an overview of technological aids and methodologies, which can facilitate learning and the inclusion of students with disabilities in the school curriculum.

Contents

The course will focus on the following arguments:
• Introduction to special pedagogy
• Regulatory framework regarding the inclusion of pupils with special needs (BES)
• Description of network resources in the school (I support Territorial Centres) and in the Local Health Centres (aids centres) and their interaction
• Overview of technological aids related to physical, sensory and cognitive disabilities
• Accessibility
• Augmentative and Alternative Communication
• Presentation of good practices of school inclusion and case studies about different types of disabilities
• Practical experiences of design and development of contents for personalized didactic modules
• Introduction to the use of sensors and Ambient Assisted Living as aids for autonomy
