The discipline aims to introduce students to the awareness of the specificity of the dramatic text in the context of Italian literary and spectacular production; to introduce them to the knowledge of the history of the dramatic text in Italy by means of examples taken from different periods and contexts; to lead students to be able to analyse a theatrical text in all its structural components and through the recognition of the specific language. It is therefore a teaching that dialogues with many disciplines, in order to bring out a specific tradition of poetics, authors and theatrical writing practices.
