Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide:
• An introduction to multivariate statistics for the analysis of data tables and time series.
• Expertise in the statistical software R
At the end of the course the student will acquire the theoretical and practical ability to analyse a data table or a time series by multivariate statistical mathodologies and give quantitative conclusions using the software R. In particular the student will know
• Multiple linear regression.
• Principal component analysis and factor analysis.
• Statistical classification and clustering.
• Analysis and prediction of time series.
