The course deals with business of individual and collective firms, with particular reference to their organizational models, financing techniques, the principles of governance, contractual and market rules. Lessons will concern the following areas: the firm, the concern, competition law, corporations, cooperative companies, and corporate groups. In particular, the study turns on corporate governance and financial structure.
The course’s aim is also to provide for a framework of the main legal issues in maritime and transport law. In particular, the national, European and International legal regime on carriage by road, sea and air will be analyzed, focusing on the contract of carriage and on the carrier’s liability.
