Learning outcomes
The student who has successfully completed the course will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of basic disease processes obtained through the study of the causes of diseases, their pathological effects and molecular mechanisms by which these effects are produced, including alterations in cancer . He or she will acquire advanced knowledge of the defense mechanisms and adaptation of the body aimed at restoring the physiological homeostasis at the level of cells, tissues, organs and systems, with particular regard to the oral cavity and dental apparatus. In addition, he or she will be deeply aware of the basic mechanisms of the immune response and discuss with ease their intervention in pathological situations. Finally, the student will learn the fundamental aspects of clinical oncology and therapeutic related mainly referring to the district facial and oral.
