Learning outcomes

The student will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of each field of Biochemistry, stimulated by new experimental findings and new insights. The student will be able to demonstrate the recognition of the principles of energy transfer in the cells, the mechanisms by which the main metabolic patways are regulated. The student will be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of many applications of biochemistry to the problems of health and disease.
The course also aims to provide the molecular and functional characteristics of the human genome and the technologies for DNA analysis in order to understand the technologies and information of molecular diagnostics genotype and genetic engineering in the perspective of gene therapy
