English is a compulsory subject in the ‘International Studies’ further degree course, and it could hardly be otherwise, given the fundamental importance of English in the context of international communications, at all levels. The course will allow students to consolidate the knowledge and skills they have acquired in the past and to make further progress towards a full mastery of the language, including features of the language which are of particular relevance to certain more specialist fields. In this way, students should be well prepared, from the point of view of their English language skills, for their future careers.
