The discipline of neuroethology integrates neuroscience, ethology, and evolutionary biology to investigate neural basis and mechanisms of behaviours of animals performing ecologically relevant tasks. In the course, topics as the processing of acoustic stimuli in the barn-owl predation, the neural basis of navigation and spatial memory in birds and phenomena of brain asymmetry will be discussed.
