Learning outcomes

The course will consider the orientation and navigation systems used by animals during their movements, examining their functional, ecological and adaptive aspects as well as the sensory cues employed. Special attention will be paid to the migrations of animals, which will be analysed mainly in relation to the underlying orientation and navigational performances.
