Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to give a general overview of the competition law and the law of the protection of the consumer within the European Union. The course is designed to give students the conceptual tools for a critical analysis of present legal structure and the capacity to evaluate future legal developments in these areas.

Programme.

The course is divided in two parts. The first part examines the competition law of the European Union with particular attention to the case-law of the European Court of Justice.
The second part focuses the impact of European policies on the market and on contract balance.
