Learning outcomes

: The course objective is to achieve in-depth analysis capabilities for the engineering of fire safety in the various activities and to provide students with:
- basic skills in the legislative field, legal and penalties;
- knowledge of the principles of physics and chemistry of fires;
- knowledge of active and passive protection systems and fire protection systems;
- knowledge of the fundamentals of fire safety in the workplaces in the industrial activities;
- knowledge of the techniques for fire risk assessment and for the design in the absence of technical regulations;
- knowledge of the computer programs for the evaluation of the consequences of accidents;
- knowledge of the procedures for fire prevention and equivalent safety;
- expertise in activities at risk of a major accident (RIR);
- knowledge of engineering approaches and principles for fire management systems
