The course aims to give students basic knowledge on the eruptive history, the nature of magmas and on the dynamics of major eruptions occurred in areas of volcanism plioquaternario in Italy, placed in the geodynamic context of the Mediterranean. We will also illustrate the biggest and most famous volcano eruptions of non-Italians, with their incorporation into synthetic geodynamic contexts.
