Learning outcomes

Storytelling: the evolution of video game products, system-player interaction, genres, interactive storytelling, elements of game design, level design and content creation.
Game programming: the main software components of a video game; specific libraries, environments, commercial / free engines.
Videogame industry: the life cycle of a modern video game, business entities (manufacturers, developers and distributors); professionals; types of market.
The course will alternate theoretical lessons, the study of examples, the analysis of systems, products, existing commercial practices and exercises where students will use gamekits to directly experience the themes illustrated.
