Learning outcomes

Give a description of the applications of quantum field theory in the computation of the topological invariants which are associated with knots and 3-manifolds. Learn some basic notions of topology and of the theory of the polynomial invariants associated with knots. The discussed arguments include: topological gauge theories, Wilson line operators, skein relations, perturbative calculus, composite operators.
