Learning outcomes

The training course aims to provide expertise for:
- identifying the rehabilitation needs of the patient and of the community (management of the interview with the patient, use of evaluation standard tools, evaluation of the patient status in its relationships with his/her disease and with his/her living environment, participation to the prosthetic rehabilitation process);
- defining goals for the rehabilitation therapy;
- defining the audiological-therapy framework as obtained by tonal and vocal audiometry techniques;
- development of programs for awareness and education of the community towards the phenomenon of hearing loss and its prevention;
- participation to multidisciplinary team activities for formulating a correct diagnosis, involvement of the patient in defining the appropriate strategy of intervention;
- applying the routine and special audiometric techniques for correct choice of the hearing aids.
