The aim of the course is to provide an analysis and a basic understanding of the characteristics of the European Union legal order. After a review of the essential elements of the dynamics of the institutional architecture, the course will focus on the European Union law sources and principles (supremacy, direct effect, responsibility, competences) and on the relationship between the national and European legal orders. The foundation and legal framework of the internal market will be analysed.
