Learning outcomes

The main purpose of this course choice is to integrate the organic chemistry knowledge arising from basic courses, as these are not objectively sufficient to adequately address the various synthetic problems that may be encountered in various fields of research and development both academic and industrial. Objective of the course in question is therefore to introduce students to some aspects of modern synthetic organic chemistry in a manner to approach the student to current synthetic technologies that allow the rational obtaining of various organic compounds (synthesis of medicines, additives, perfumes etc) . Particular attention will be paid to the stereoselective synthesis and environmentally sustainable chemical processes, with critical illustration of case studies taken from the most recent scientific literature.
