The principal aim of the course is the study of the mechanisms of natural attenuation, bio-degradation and bio-transformation of xenobiotics in the environment. This understanding will provide the student with the essential capabilities to programme any kind of intervention, based on the application of plants, bacteria and fungi, eventually capable to detoxify the environment, to recover the homeostasis of habitats in contaminated areas
