Educational Goals
The goals are to form people able to work in the field of digital public history, i.e. develop critical thinking about
the potential of the web to perform historical research; single out the issues of public history and digital history, emphasizing their relations; stimulate the capacity to develop scientifically grounded historical materials, in different multimedia formats; appreciate the potential and problems of projects involving citizens in conscious understanding of historical events.
The course encourages students to think critically about using new media for research, storage and publication of historical information, in order to become proactive in digital public history projects.
