Educational Goals
The course aims to provide a basic introduction to the theories and the main models of communication, with particular attention to the processes of education, virtual communication and e-learning.
Description
Theories, models and definitions. Verbal and nonverbal communication. Communication skills and strategies. The contexts (F/F communication, public communication, communication in organizations, companies, etc..). Communication and intersubjectivity (effective communication and dysfunctional, empathic communication, ethics of communication, intercultural communication). Communication and educational processes (educational communication and learning, educational styles, motivation, cognitive and communication styles, learning strategies and channels). Virtual communication and e-learning (definitions, characteristics, methods, potentials, strengths and weaknesses).
