Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to provide basic and practical knowledge on rearing techniques of small non-conventional animals, such as edible insects and snails (also known as minilivestock). In particular, the student will be able to deal with the management aspects of the production system, the breeding environment, the different stages of animals' feeding and the problems associated with the national and Community regulatory framework. In addition, the student will be able to understand the principles that can be used for the study and design new products.
